When you get a call from a good friend and he asks you to capture his wedding it is always an honour. I find it adds a lot more pressure on me but I do enjoy it! Katie & Dave got married at the Old Palace Lodge Hotel in Dunstable. This as a beautiful Bedfordshire Wedding Venue. I had never heard of this place but when I got there i was not disappointed. Some parts of it date back to Henry Viii and the wood panelling in the rooms is stunning. I started off upstairs with Katie and all her Bridal party capturing all the excitement and preparations. The ceremony was downstairs and was decorated beautifully. Once they had said their vows it was time for the group photos. Now, being October we knew we would be up against it with the weather but during the breaks in the rain we managed to get all the group photos completed. After this we went on to do the couples shoot. I like this part as it gives the bride and groom some time alone. Its the first chance you really get to say hello! It was raining on and off but this can add so much drama to your photos. Adding a flash behind the couple will illuminate the rain drops making such an amazing effect! This was such a beautiful day and I loved capturing every minute of it! If you are planning a wedding in Bedfordshire I would recommend this Bedfordshire wedding Venue.
